Jim Piercey
Chairman
  Jim Piercey retired as East Tennessee President of Regions Bank in 2007. During his 30 plus years in banking he served as the president of banks in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama. A Vietnam veteran, Mr. Piercey served in the U.S. Marine Corps. This is Mr. Piercey’s third year on KARM’s Board of Directors, and he serves as Chairman. Mr. Piercey is an active member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and also serves on the Board of Directors for Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. He is a Stephen Minister at KARM and a hospice volunteer. He and his wife Donna have two grown daughters, Cheryl and Lori, and four grandchildren. He enjoys golf, boating and fishing.


Dale Keasling
Vice Chairman
 


 

 

 


 Dale Keasling is Chairman, President and CEO of Home Federal Bank of Tennessee.  He is a CPA and a graduate of East Tennessee State University, summa cum laude. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., CPAs and was formerly Chairman, President and CEO of Valley Fidelity Bank and Trust Company in Knoxville.

Mr. Keasling has been active in the Knoxville community, having served on the boards of United Way, Presbyterian Homes of Tennessee, The Salvation Army, Helen Ross McNabb Foundation, Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts, The Mental Health Association, Leadership Knoxville, Senior Citizens Home Assistance, Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains, and the East Tennessee Economic Development Agency.  Dale has served on the KARM board for two years and is Vice Chairman. He and his wife Barbara are members of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. 


Neal Caldwell

 

 

 

 


Neal Caldwell is founder and Chairman of the Board of Dalen Products, Inc., a local manufacturer of lawn and garden products. He is a graduate of Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee, with majors in physics and mathematics.

Mr. Caldwell is active at Cedar Springs Presbyterian, which is affiliated with the EPC denomination, and has served as deacon, elder, Sunday School superintendent, Sunday School teacher, small group leader, and community bible study leader. He was also chairman of the building committee when New Covenant Presbyterian Church was built.

Mr. Caldwell and his wife, Alice, have three children: David, Ellen Hagler, and Laura Sansbury. In addition to serving on the KARM Board of Directors for many years, he also serves on the Board of Trustees of King College and Jobs Partnership Board of Knox County.

 

 


Jerry Daves


 

 

 


Jerry Daves is President of Wood Properties, Inc. He received his MBA from East Tennessee State University. He was named Realtor of the Year in 1993 by the Tennessee Association of Realtors and was its 1998 President. He was named 1988 Realtor of the Year by the Knoxville Association of Realtors, was its president in 1991 and received its "Award of Excellence" in 1994. Mr. Daves has served on the Development Corporation of Knox County Real Estate Advisory Board and the Department of Housing and Urban Development Field Advisory Council. He is a past president of the Knoxville Chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association, East Tennessee Chapter of Certified Property Managers, Apartment Council of Tennessee, the East Tennessee Chapter of Certified Commercial Investment Members, and the Knoxville Apartment Council of the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville. Mr. Daves is a Certified Property Manager, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Certified Commercial Investment Member, and a Real Property Administrator. He and his wife, Nancy attend Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, and have two daughters; Laura, who works with Dave as General Council of Wood Properties and Hester, who is on the faculty at Carson Newman College.


Sally Fisher

 

 
Sally A. Fisher is a Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Management Consultant for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. She earned the designations of Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist from The College of Financial Planning. Her Bachelor of Science degree is from the University of South Florida. She has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Active in her community, Sally recently teamed with six other women to form Legacy of Hope (LOH), a supporting organization for Hope Resource Center.  She is currently serving as their Vice President and has served on numerous other boards.

Sally and her husband John are members of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.  They have three children, five grandchildren, and one dog.  Sally and John support a number of Christian ministries, primarily focusing on promoting pro-life efforts, helping children worldwide and serving the needy in their community.
 
 
 
 
 
 


Cathy Gonzalez

 

 

 

 

 


Cathy Gonzalez is a full-time wife (husband Adrian), mother (daughters Elizabeth and Nicole), home schooling mom and community volunteer. She serves Knoxville in many ways: as secretary of the KARM Board of Directors; member of the CAC Board of Directors, board member for Knoxville Christian Youth Bands, as President of Old Mechanicsville Neighborhood Interest (preserving and revitalizing Historic Old Mechanicsville); and as an allocations committee member for the United Way.

She is an avid Precepts Bible study student and she and Adrian open their home to a small group. She enjoys exercise, cooking, gardening, travel and photography.

She is a native New Yorker and earned her undergraduate degree in International Management and her graduate degree in Education. Both degrees are from Pace University in New York.

 


Dan Hurst

 

 

 


Dan Hurst is the President and Founder of StrataG, LLC, a professional services firm with a staff of more than one hundred professionals dedicated to stewardship of energy and the environment.   Dan is a veteran of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. He has a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and received the 2007 Biosystems Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award. Dan is President of the Board of the West Knox Utilities District and serves as a member of the board of directors of the Fairview Technology Center and the Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair (SASEF). Dan initiated StrataG’s active community outreach program, which provides recurring opportunities throughout the year for employees to build homes for the homeless through Habitat for Humanity, feed the hungry through KARM, promote science education through the SASEF, and participate in multiple environmental conservation projects. Dan has served on KARM’s Board of Directors since 2007. He and his wife Patty are members of Fellowship Church. They have two children, Sarah and Joshua.

 


Dr. Joe Johnson

 

 

 


Dr. Joe Johnson is President Emeritus at the University of Tennessee. He began his career in 1958 as an instructor and research associate in political science and public administration. He left the university in 1960 to work in state government, serving as deputy commissioner of the department of finance and administration and later as executive assistant to Governor Buford Ellington. He returned to UT in 1963 as executive assistant to President Andy Holt, and in 1970 was named Vice President of Development. Later the same year he became chancellor of the university’s health science center in Memphis. Dr. Johnson was named executive vice president in 1973 and  became president of the university in 1991. After retiring in 1999, he continued to play an active role in development for UT and in 2003 was appointed to serve as Interim President. Dr. Johnson has been active in the Knoxville community, serving on the boards of Home Federal Bank, Helen Ross McNabb Mental Health Center, East Tennessee Community Design Center, South College, University of Tennessee Medical Center, East Tennessee Discovery Center, Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts, Southern Region of the Boy Scouts, and Knox County Imagination Library. Dr. Johnson has served on the Board of Directors of KARM for several years. He also serves with a number of national organizations.

 

 


Dr. H. Lee Martin

 

 

 

 


Dr. H. Lee Martin is a research assistant professor at the University of Tennessee establishing a program in Engineering Entrepreneurship. Dr. Martin holds engineering degrees from the University of Tennessee and Purdue University. After six years as a development engineer at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, he founded TeleRobotics International, Inc. in 1986 to develop robots for hazardous environments. The company developed, patented and introduced to the market an immersive, interactive imaging method named iPIX that is now used worldwide via the Internet to remotely display real estate, automobiles, vacation spots and current events.

Dr. Martin has served on the KARM Board of Directors for eight years. He is an avid trombonist, a tennis player, a youth small group leader. and active member of Two Rivers Evangelical Church in Knoxville. His wife is the former Carla Butler, and he is the father of three: Nina, Ashleigh and Daniel.

 


Tim McLemore


 

 
Tim McLemore is a business, tax and transactional lawyer and is the president of Gentry Tipton & McLemore, P.C. He is a graduate of Carson Newman College and the University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude. While in law school, Tim was elected to membership in the Order of the Coif, received the American Jurisprudence Award for Antitrust, and served on the Editorial Board of the Tennessee Law Review. Mr. McLemore is also a graduate of New York University where he earned a post-graduate law degree (LL.M) in Taxation and served as a Graduate Editor of the NYU Tax Law Review. For more than ten years, Mr. McLemore served as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee, teaching courses in taxation, the representation of entrepreneurs, and legal writing.Mr. McLemore has served on the KARM Board of Directors since 2003. Tim is also on the board of trustees for Emerald Youth Foundation, is a member of the 2007-08 class of Leadership Knoxville and is a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. Tim is married to Kimberly Story McLemore and the father of two boys, Isaac and Ian. He enjoys running, golf, skiing, reading and travel.  


W. Frank Smith


 

 

 

 


Frank Smith is a graduate of Bearden High School and holds a degree in Transportation from the University of Tennessee. He is the President & General Manager of Washing Equipment of Tennessee. Mr. Smith has been a member of the KARM Board of Directors for more than 10 years, serving on a variety of committees and in various officer positions. He is married to Debra and has one daughter, Katy. Mr. Smith is a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and enjoys reading, hunting and fishing in his free time.

 


Bobby Stogner


  Bobby Stogner, of Hoskins Oil Company, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.  Mr. Stogner is a member of the Board of Directors for the University of Tennessee Knox County Alumni Association where he has served as Treasurer, Vice President and Past President. He currently serves on the UT Board of Governors. Mr. Stogner also serves on the Knox Area Chamber Partnership Finance Committee and is also a member of the City-Wide Civic Service Club. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for KARM for seven years, serving on the Finance and Investments Committee as well as serving as Chairman of the Golf Tournament Committee. Mr. Stogner is a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Judy, have three children: Will, Anna, and Katie. His hobbies include spending time with his children, cycling and fishing.


Doug Yoakley

 

 

 


Doug Yoakley is a CPA and co-founded Pershing Yoakley & Associates, CPAs in Knoxville in 1983. In addition to his professional practice, he is part-owner in several other business ventures including the Knoxville Ice Bears, a local professional hockey team. Doug was born in Louisville, KY and moved to Knoxville when he was nine. He graduated from UT in 1978 and married Sara Benton in 1979; they have 3 children, Taylor, Jordan and Meagan. They have attended Fellowship Evangelical Free Church since 1991 where Doug serves on the Administrative Board. In addition to serving on the Boards of several businesses, Doug also serves on the Board of the Philadelphians prison ministry. Doug has served on KARM’s Board of Directors since 2007 and is currently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
