The Program Services Team Member creates a safe, respectful, and hospitable environment in which basic necessities of life and supportive care are provided for guests and residential clients. Maintains a fertile environment for client commitment to personal change. Utilizes community knowledge and administrative skills to advocate in connecting guests to needed resources. Monitors the activities of guests in all areas of the facility. Is available to offer one-on-one care, encouragement, and support. Team Members, depending on individual skill set and experience, may be placed in the Crossroads Welcome Center, Hope Haven (women’s overnight shelter), Samaritan Place (men’s overnight shelter), or Serenity Shelter (women’s residential program). The Housekeeping Team Leader is responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of all KARM buildings and grounds (interior and exterior, including laundry). This person takes ownership for the ministry objective of offering overwhelming Biblical hospitality in all aspects of what we do. The Housekeeping Team Leader provides leadership, supervision and coaching to residents, guests and individual and group volunteers who perform daily housekeeping duties and projects. This person also performs daily assigned cleaning tasks and others as needed to insure all housekeeping duties are completed. Students of accredited colleges and universities are able to gain hands-on learning and experience in the non-profit, human services, and ministry fields. Our goal is to support educational pursuits through assignments that allow the student to leave with valuable knowledge and insights for their future pursuits.
